Introduction:

This Faculty Development Day focuses on helping participants transform educational challenges into practical project ideas that can lead to meaningful change within dermatology education. Through a combination of short interactive talks, facilitated workshops, and collaborative activities, participants will explore how to identify educational problems, generate creative solutions, and design feasible medical education projects. The day places strong emphasis on practical development, allowing attendees to work on their own project ideas with support from experienced faculty and peers.

A highlight of the programme will be a supportive Dragon’s Den–style session, where participants will have the opportunity to pitch their project ideas to an expert panel and receive constructive feedback. This interactive format encourages collaboration, builds confidence, and helps refine ideas into realistic and achievable projects. 

 

 

Learning objectives:

  1. Generate feasible medical education project ideas based on identified educational needs within dermatology.
  2. Design a structured plan for a medical education project, including aims, proposed interventions, and methods for evaluation.
  3. Present a concise project pitch and provide constructive feedback on peer proposals to support project refinement.
